MOMENTS IN THE WOODS
The curtain came down (well actually we didn't have a curtain but y'all know what I mean) on our production of Into The Woods. Without a doubt this has been the most joyous theatrical experience of my life. Not only did I get to make my professional stage debut but I was also a part of a magical production, brilliantly directed and with a cast that is more talented than I have ever seen assembled.
There are so many wonderful memories, gossip, and backstage rituals to mention but I think I will have to keep those with me as they will be forever a part of me. I was very close to tears during Children Will Listen but I managed to keep it together as we all took our final bow. I will miss every member of our cast & crew - they are all phenomenal. I look forward in seeing a lot of them performing in many shows that are coming up.
On Wednesday evening, the legendary Harriet Sansom Harris was in the audience (of course it would have to be one of the days I don't come out to greet the audience!) She & Francis are very good friends. I had to find out reading the Mercury News!!
Speaking of friendships, I have made a lot of new ones with this show and I sincerely hope they will remain that way forever.
I have a lot of pictures to post from opening night & backstage so I will do that soon.
I will forever remember my moments in the woods.
(sigh)
Martin
