CABARET REH. WEEK 2

Hello everyone!

Just got back from a wonderful day of R&R in Monterey. My Mom & baby Sis are spending a few days there and I was able to join them yesterday but had to be back for rehearsal tonight. We have our sitzprobe tonight and I am very happy with all of the work I have done. Bill is very happy with our progress as well which makes me feel so good. The hard part is over now it's just about cleaning things up.

I love my cast - they are wonderful, talented and HILARIOUS human beings. Brian Yates Sharber who is playing the Emcee cracks me up. I'm having a blast which makes all the hard work worthwhile. We started to put Act I together this weekend and I can already tell this is going to be a terrific production of this show. I was pondering that for some mystic reason Cabaret seems to pop into my life whenever I need some reassurance about my chosen profession. The first time I did the show I hardly knew anything about it but it was only a high school production - although it was a GOOD high school production. In many ways I feel that I have come full circle with the show - having done a high school production, 2 community productions and finally a professional production that pushes me everyday to do the very best I can. I even got a little teary-eyed in the car today just thinking how blessed I am to have this opportunity and to have a theatre company believe in me - it's a wonderful feeling. There were no tears of sadness - only tears of joy.

Not much else to report the show pretty much takes up all of my time and I must go and get ready for tonight's rehearsal!

Have a fab week everyone

Cheers

Martin
