CATCHING UP

I can't believe I haven't written a blog entry in a while. So much to catch up on but I will make it short - Cabaret closed after a sold-out thirteen week run and I am so, so proud of the work I did with this show and will treasure the experience forever. Last week I discovered that I had an abscess in my abdomen which I am still being treated for. Not fun to say the least. Now that Cabaret has closed I have a couple of weeks before my concert and then after that rehearsals for my next show begin. I will try to at least write once a week here just to keep my sanity. I did update some new pics to the blog and added the fabulous poster that my friend Patti Appel has so graciously designed for me.

Not feeling so hot right now so will try to take a nap before doing some homework.

Hope y'all are doing well.

OFFICIALLY OLD AND KINDA LOVING IT

Well I'm 30 (to be exact I will be at 7:30 AM) and it's not feeling so bad. I had a little meltdown on Sunday night (probably a mixture of fear, sadness, frustration but most of all fear) but glad that's over with. Tonight I had an incredible evening at the SF Playhouse 1st Annual Fundraiser where I performed as a singer and pianist for all the numbers (most from previous SF Playhouse musicals.) Tania Johnson opened with the song "Yes" which was followed by the finale version of the Impossible Dream which I sang with Cathleen Riddley & Bill English, then Louis Parnell did a version of Married re-titled Sponsors, then we did a Medley of Willkommen performed by our M.C. understudy Noah Haydon and then of course Cabaret sung by Kate Del Castillo, and then All That Jazz from Chicago (a show they hope to do one day) performed by Noah, Bobby Bryce & Norm Muñoz. Our entertainment part of the night was only 15 minutes and a lot of fun. The party was terrific and I had one of the best times I have had in a looong time. I drank a lot of champagne and even got to meet Mayor Gavin Newson who was so nice and soooo handsome. Here is the pic:

I had some lovely visitors at Cabaret last week - Khlar Thorsen & C. Kelly Wright. We only have 2 more weeks left so don't miss your chance to see Cabaret! $10 Tix offers for the remaining Wed, Thurs shows at 8 PM and Saturdays at 3. E-mail me for more info. Not much else to report - I'm off to bed because in the morning I have school from 9:24-4:15 PM - fun birthday for me! Actually it's already been a great day because my family surprised me with some lovely presents and a beautiful happy birthday song - I feel so loved right now. Who could ask for anymore more?
Have a great week y'all!

ARRGGGGHHH

I started to send out evites for my upcoming recital and found myself spending HOURS trying to invite 217 people. How do I know so many people? Who are these people? At any rate - if you did not receive an evite it is probably because I don't have your correct e-mail. Please e-mail me and I will send you the evite asap.

That's it - school tomorrow so off to bed.

P.S.
I hate men.

P.P.S.
Just for the moment of course.
